What is a CSCS Green Card?
The CSCS Green Card, officially the Labourer card, is the entry-level Construction Skills Certification Scheme card for construction operatives in the UK. It proves you have the health, safety and environmental awareness needed to work safely on a building site, and most main contractors will not let you through the gate without one.
To get your CSCS Green Card you must complete two things: the Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment and the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test. The free mock tests on this page are built to prepare you for both, so you walk into the real exams confident and ready to pass first time.
Who needs a Green Card?
Labourers, apprentices and anyone starting out in construction who needs proof of basic site safety knowledge to work on site.
How long does it last?
A CSCS Green Card is valid for 5 years. After that you renew it by re-sitting the CITB HS&E test to keep your certification current.
How do I apply?
Pass the Level 1 course and the CITB HS&E test, then apply to CSCS. With our full package we handle the entire application for you.
Ready for the real thing?
Practice is free, but the card is what gets you on site. We handle the Level 1 course, book your CITB test and post your official CSCS Green Card to your door.
